PEGASUS POSAVELOX
Easy, clean, precise and quick assembly for entirely glass walls.

PEGASUS® POSAVELOX is the new installation system, patented by Vetroarredo, which uses suitable adhesives and a few accessories to create glass block walls easily, quickly, cleanly and precisely.

Building walls made of glass blocks requires the skills of a layer, who is able to construct stable and strong structures by assembling various elements using cement mortar, steel rods, etc.

This process is quite difficult for an inexpert hand since the elements must be equidistant and the joint between two adjacent elements must possess certain aesthetic and mechanical characteristics and must be able to support the structure’s stress and expansion.

During construction, inappropriate stresses and overloads on the elements, which could implode, damaging the stability of the entire structure, must be avoided.

To remedy these problems, the Vetroarredo Division of SEVES designed an easy-to-assembly system called "PEGASUS POSAVELOX".

The system uses the new version of the Vetroarredo PEGASUS block with wings for constructing walls without any apparent gaps, which a factory applied, specially cut wood framing has been added  allowing the quick and easy erection of the glass blockwalls without using cement mortar. They are simply joined together with a vinyl acetate adhesive applied using a normal paint brush.

Furthermore, the innovative external edge of the Pegasus block, which projects from each side just a few millimeters compared to traditional products and forms fins, means that the wood frame can be positioned inside the glass, reducing the so-called gap, that is the joint between adjacent blocks, to only 2 mm, becoming virtually invisible.

The reduction of the gap to only 2 mm provides two ways of finishing the wall: those who love traditional finishes can use a cement filler specially designed for Pegasus Posavelox; those, rather, who prefer to finish the job quickly and easily, cleanly and precisely, can use a silicone or different type of sealant depending on the wall’s characteristics: in the latter case, the Posavelox system provides totally “dry” installation.

The result is a beautiful, solid, well-lit, transparent linear or curved wall of the desired size that has the same aesthetic and safety characteristics as a traditional system.

Advantages

- The glass blocks can be installed with practically invisible 2 mm joints, increasing the luminosity of the wall and avoiding problems related to filling gaps with mortar, using a simple sealant instead.

- Installation requires only a few accessories and common tools.

- Construction of the wall can be simulated by dry-mounting the glass blocks to evaluate the aesthetic result and any modifications before proceeding with final installation.

- There is no need for cement, mortar, sand or water, eliminating all of the problems associated with them, keeping the workplace clean.

- In the same amount of time, more square meters can be constructed than the traditional system, with excellent results.

- The product is highly modular as various Vetroarredo sizes can be combined without installation problems, thus permitting infinite design possibilities.

- The aesthetic results are the same as those of traditional laying.

- The wall is lighter compared to those created using the traditional method.

- It has improved characteristics in terms of:
· noise absorption
· thermal insulation
· mechanical resistance (compression and bending strength) thanks to the elasticity of the wood forming the structure
· resistance to moisture and sudden changes in temperature

- Broad walls, curved walls, walls exposed to water, etc., can be built

- Satisfactory customer service
